I couldn’t sleep yesterday, so I’d figured I watched some ballet videos on Youtube with hope the music will lull me to sleep.
Next thing I know, I got wide-awake for 2 hours, watching Bolshoi Ballet’s ‘Giselle’ with Svetlana Zakharova as Giselle and Robert Bolle as Albrecht. Svetlana is insane. Her expressions, her movements, her gestures, her costumes… Out of this world. Out. Of. This. World.
You got to see when she dances during Mad Giselle scene and on the end of Act 2 when Giselle tried with all her might to keep Albrecht stays conscious until the day breaks.
