• Inktober Day 28: Crispy

This drawing is that kind of drawing that I thought I’m going to hate, but I found myself interested on it. I think it’s because of the tree trunk texture (the tree rings.) This is that type of drawing that made you go, “WHY DID I CHOOSE THIS PERSPECTIVE,” and you ended up with, “huh. It’s not THAT bad…”

The “crispy” reference is on the beef rasher/bacon on the plate, BTW.

  • Inktober Day 27: Spark

I just finished an evening meeting and my brain is half-fried so I decided to use minimalistic approach — and I miss watching fireworks.

I did this drawing while listening to Ryuichi Sakamoto’s “Merry Christmas, Mr. Lawrence.” Somehow the mood fits.

  • Inktober Day 26: Connect

I’m learning using a bigger-sized brush pen and I really love it! I learned about shadows and creating contrasts — and it’s quite a challenge to have a high-contrast drawings (usually reserved for dramatic effects) with cute models (THE FROOOOOGGGG)

Landscape-wise, I also learned about swamp and marsh area.
